What is Salsa?

Salsa is a very popular Latin dance with roots in Cuban ‘Son’ and other Afro-Cuban dance styles. The popularity of Salsa has increased exponentially in the last few decades, and now incorporates intricate turn patterns, lots of body movement and flavor. At Aatma we teach LA Style Salsa on1, which is danced in a line and danced as couples.

What is Bachata?

Bachata is a music/dance form from the Dominican Republic which is popular in the Latin dance scene around the world. It is danced much closer that Salsa and is rapidly becoming as popular as Salsa. If you are learning Salsa, you should learn Bachata also. They are very complimentary.

What happens on Day 1?
